We have the best of both worlds up here right now. The Steelhead in the Salmon River and the Brown Trout in Lake Ontario are both plentiful and biting well. The last couple of days though, we have found that the best action has been early in the day. The water is coming up again tonight. I think we will chase the browns again tomorrow. Trolling 5 – 10 ft. of water on the eastern shore of the lake, north and south of the Salmon River, with Smithwicks and Thunderstick jr’s has worked well.
