A different plan
The Brown Trout fishing on Lady O has been slow to non-existent since last weekend. We had offshore winds most of the week and that pushes the warmer, stained water away from the shoreline and spreads the fish out, making it very difficult to find any number of browns. This being the case, we decided to fish deeper water on the bottom for Lake Trout. It was a smart move. Once again the lake gives us an option. What a great place. We also decided to try for Salmon and Steelhead over the deeper water, and had some success with that. The Brown Trout fishing will improve, but till then…Lakers Rock! Early Salmon and Steelies too.
- Enjoying another great day on Lake Ontario by reeling another laker.
- Great fish.
- Lake Trout are beautiful fish that often get overlooked by fisherman, charters included. We love them. What a great way to spend the day by catching the awsome char.
- Early Salmon like this are a great option if the Brown Trout near the shore are being difficult. Great job Doug.
- A little bit of todays catch.
- After she landed the fish…she said “this was the best day of my life. The best experience of my life.” That makes us very happy. It is why we do this.
