The Brown trout fishing has been good all week, the average size has been great for early spring fish. Water temps have ranged from 48 to 53 deg. depending on where your at. Smithwicks and thundersticks on the flat lines and michigan stingers on the riggers, Fishing in 5 to 15 feet of water has been best most days.

Had my good friend and long time client out today on the river. He landed a bunch and lost a few swingin’ streamers. Had a great time “Doc” thanx.

Lot’s of fish in the river, but with the low, clear water and bright sunshine, the bite has been early. We have some cloudy, rainy weather headed our way, which will improve the fishing. They are all set to release fish from the hatchery in the next couple of days which will load up the river. Fishing should get real good!

Even with the river being lower than normal and a sudden cold snap, the Steelhead fishing is still good. The fish are spread throughout the river, and are being caught on plugs, beads, sacks, worms and flies.

This past week we were blessed with nice weather and great fishing. Water temp. is warming fast, and fish are very active. Fish are being taken along the entire river.
