Ice fishing hot!

We are in between the sportshows right now and have been out on the ice. The fishing has been very good on Sandy Pond. Good catches of Perch, Gills, Sunfish and Pike. Not many Crappies yet. Sorry no pics right now. Look for a new video by next week hopefully. We will be out again this weekend and I will post some pictures then. Ice conditions: Sandy Pond has a good 20″ of solid ice and a couple of inches of snow on top. With warm temps this weekend, the snow will melt creating water and slush on top. The trick lately has been to fish small. Fat Heads or Teardrop jigs in glow colors or black. If you know you are over fish, and they won’t bite, try a swim bait like a jigging Rapala. Tip your jigs with spikes.

Well it’s that time of year again…time for the outdoor sportshows. Here is a list of the shows with dates and locations. Please stop by to confirm your dates for this year…to book before the calendar gets too full… or to just chat. Hope to see you there.
