Red hot spring lake fishing.
The fishing on the open lake both shallow and in deeper water, has been very good. Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, before we got chased off by thunder and lightening, were both great. The deep water fish on Friday, were between 65 – 105 fow. just west of the Salmon River. The near shore browns were from the Salmon River, north to the ladders is 7 – 10 fow. Here are pics of the trip on Friday afternoon. Two people… 2 Salmon, 2 steelies, 2 Lake Trout and 4 browns. Not bad for 3 hours of fishing!
- A Spring King on 10 lb. test is nasty!
- Two Kings like this in the span of 20 min. can tire a person out.
- Spring Chrome.
- This lake steelie was still full of mature eggs. Weird.
- A nice Ontario Lake Trout.
- The staple of our Spring lake fishery…Brown Trout in shallow water.
