Look what I caught Ruth!
The water went up again last night to 1800 cfs. Actually 3000 cfs at Pineville. It’s been too dirty to fish well down in the middle and lower river, but there are fish. The water will probably continue to come up through the weekend. The smaller streams are probably full of fish. We haven’t had to check them yet because we are still doing well in the Salmon River.

Brian with one of the 3 Trout he caught on Friday.
Warm weather and rain have melted most of our snow, at last! Higher water levels have caused the water to cool down and become dirty. The cold water is not a benefit to us, but high and dirty are good. Plug fishing from a driftboat has been very good. Fisherman who are wading, are having the best success fishing the edges, close to shore, with egg sacks or worms. We went out to Lake Ontario on Saturday for a few hours to try and locate spring Brown Trout. We found em! Not big fish, but a good number of them.
