- Long time friend and fishing partner Doc. Fatti with a beautiful steelie he landed on Wensday.
- This fish was the the first of a double John landed in the Schoolhouse. The other fish is still in the net.
- Thanx for all the years of support Doc.. See you in May.
- A Rapala fooled this big trout!
- This is the other fish taken in that double in the Schoolhouse Pool. Great job John!
We have the best of both worlds up here right now. The Steelhead in the Salmon River and the Brown Trout in Lake Ontario are both plentiful and biting well. The last couple of days though, we have found that the best action has been early in the day. The water is coming up again tonight. I think we will chase the browns again tomorrow. Trolling 5 - 10 ft. of water on the eastern shore of the lake, north and south of the Salmon River, with Smithwicks and Thunderstick jr’s has worked well.

Hey Todd: like always, i enjoyed yesterday quite a bit!! Your skillful guiding - choice of lures to match the conditions of the day - and selection of starting point - had us fighting 8 fish and landing 4 from 610am - 730am!! i still wish we coulda photoed that one in the end of the “wires” that broke me off under the branches near the bank. At this stage, i love the drift down the beautiful Salmon River as much as i love catching and releasing those awesome trout!!!
